got it :D
how do I make this bigger and/or make the canvas smaller? I know I've done it in the past but I can't figure it out now

If the drawing is on one layer you choose the selection tool from the toolbox (the rectangle shaped symbol on the top left), select the drawing and then go to "Edit" -> "Transform" (or press CTRL and Y) Then you can adjust the size.

If you have several layers you have to select the top layer, then go to "Layers" -> "Merge down" (or press CTRL and E). If you merged all the layers, just do the thing I described first. BUT you can't de-merge the layers so make sure you are really finished before merging them.
